Why Comfort Stick Does Not Accept Insurance — And Why It Benefits You
Comfortstick Mobile Phlebotomy Services is a private, concierge‑level service, so we don’t bill or accept insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid for mobile blood draws. This lets us offer a higher level of care than traditional labs or insurance‑based providers. In the U.S., mobile and in‑home phlebotomy isn’t covered by insurance, and the in‑home collection fee is considered a convenience service paid directly by the patient. However, your lab tests might still be billed to your health insurance, depending on your plan, your provider’s order, and whether they’re considered covered and medically necessary. In short, Comfortstick’s in‑home collection fee is self‑pay, but your lab tests may still go through insurance once sent to the lab. This separation is standard nationwide for mobile phlebotomy services.
