How to Get Your Lab Drawn in Palm Desert, California?

To use our at-home blood draw service, you must have a valid physician's lab order. Your doctor can fax or email your requisition directly to us, and if needed, Comforstick can also reach out to your physician to help obtain the required paperwork.

Once we receive your physician’s order, we can officially book your appointment. If you don’t have the order yet, we can hold a tentative date and time of your choosing while we reach out to your doctor to obtain the required paperwork.

New Patients: Payment is required before your appointment. Accepted payments: Cash, Credit Card, or Zelle.

Existing Patients: You may continue using your usual payment method.

2. Preparation for a Kit Draw

Before your appointment, please check your kit for any forms to complete or ice packs. If ice packs are included, freeze them as soon as the kit arrives.

Please bring your Driver’s License, and let your technician know if you have more than one kit. Non‑blood‑draw kits must be completed before your blood draw.

We can email your prep & consent form—please review it before your appointment.  All patients booked are considered verbal consent. 

Payment is due before or on the day of service. We’ll provide a shipping confirmation receipt after drop‑off.

4. Preparation for your Blood Draw

Medication

Preparing for our mobile phlebotomy services is simple. Just let us know if you're fasting (8-10hrs), taking medication such as Biotin or Blood thinners, Surgeries such as mastectomy or have a history of fainting before the procedure. That way, we can ensure that we're providing the best possible care for your specific needs. Once we clarify any important details, we'll help you get comfortable so that you can relax and feel calm while we handle the rest. You may notice some tests, that may require fasting. That decision is entirely up to your physician, not your technician.

3. Vein Integrity

 To ensure optimal vein integrity. We remind you to stay hydrated (water), if you exercise before the blood draw, please stay hydrated throughout the work out and after.  Please keep area clean and warm 3 minutes before draw.  Contact us today and simplify your medical routine.

5.Comfortable Draw

Choose a comfortable, well‑lit spot in your home where you can relax during your blood draw. Pick an area that feels calm and inviting, and remove anything that might make you feel rushed or uncomfortable. Creating a peaceful environment helps ensure a smooth, stress‑free experience

6. After Your Draw

 After your blood draw, we suggest keeping the bandage on for 10 minutes and eating something if you are fasting. For patients using blood thinners, we recommend keeping the bandage on for 30 minutes and avoiding gym or strenuous activity for 1 hour.  Then your specimen  will be  prepared delivery or shipping. Which you will either get a text or email confirmation.

Results: Routine blood 3-4 business days depending on test.  24hrs. for STAT. Set-up portal with lab. Results will generate after physician has reviewed.

Please note that we are an independent service provider specializing in in-home sample collection that are not affiliated with the laboratories processing your samples, including Quest Diagnostics/Ulta Lab Tests we are vendors. Our role is to offer a convenient and professional service, ensuring proper handling, storage, and timely delivery of specimens to the designated laboratories for testing and analysis.
